Job Overview
The Account Executive will be primarily focused on large special sales with key accounts. You will perform strategic outreach to specific accounts and build relationships within these accounts to identify opportunities for large bulk sales. Reporting to the VP of New Business Development, this role will hunt for deals with longer sales cycles that typically have a trigger event and can have complex buying cycles. Your key objectives will be to drive sales while always ensuring a great customer experience and positive professional relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities
- You will be a key part of Good and True’s growth and will pioneer the initial special sales process.
- Special sales targets large Christian organizations such as Universities, Churches, Dioceses, etc to cultivate relationships with stakeholders and pursue opportunities for large deals.
- You will help expand the business beyond merely children's books into custom products developed for larger institutions, organizations, and events.
- Identify and develop a pipeline of prospective customers through outbound calls, emails, professional networking, and/or other means.
- Own the complete sales process from first touch to renewal. This includes product demonstrations, negotiating and closing contracts, and post sale follow up.
- Maintain a high level of outbound sales activity, 30+ calls per day while focusing on creating strong customer relationships in order to expand into net new accounts.
- Consistently over achieve sales targets.
- You will be the main representative of Good and True Media to our customers and must assure that the brand and its values are represented appropriately.
- You may be required to travel to meet customers as business needs dictate.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-5 years of B2B sales experience
- Passionate about helping further Christian, mission driven organizations
- Experienced selling to nonprofits, Christian mission driven organizations, and/or churches
- Experience with sales cycles as long as 3-6 months
- An understanding of nonprofits and other Christian organizations sales cycles and decision making processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of sales processes and techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced and quickly evolving new business environment
