A PICTURE BOOK THAT ADDRESSES SOCIAL ANXIETY IN CHILDREN
Does your child always seem to be disconnected and off in their own world? Or maybe completely overwhelmed by a new situation?
That’s how June always feels. But that’s all about to change when her family moves across the country! June is ready for a fresh start but what if nobody likes her and she can’t make friends? Readers will be introduced to the widely felt experience of social anxiety and the struggles of a highly sensitive child.
It isn’t until June meets a neighborhood friend, Milo, who pushes her to find her inner confidence that June finishes her poem. With a block party looming, Milo convinces her to share her poem with the neighborhood on stage!
Inspired by personal experiences, author Sarah Murdock hopes that Wonderfully June will bring awareness to the struggles highly sensitive children face today and how we can all support them. June will show readers that everyone sees the world differently and that's okay! Wonderfully June will teach readers to accept who God wonderfully created them to be and the important role friends play in finding our inner confidence.

This is a tear jerker because the hero isn't some courageous superhero in tights. It's a shy little girl that is unsure of herself. This book is empowering for young kids who are looking for a voice. Highly recommend this!
