Life in the military is hard, especially during deployments. It is hard to find happiness and pleasures in normal family celebrations and milestones knowing that one very special person is not there to witness them. Join one military family stationed in Hawaii as they learn that every day is precious while their Dad is deployed.

Inspired by her personal experiences, author, Sena Nelson, wanted to tell a story that is familiar to all military families. Set in the beautiful landscape of Hawaii, Today Should Be Enjoyed, reminds us all that we should enjoy every day, even those days when we feel like the world is against us and we miss the ones we love the most.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sena Nelson recently moved back to the States with her husband and six children to live in Georgia. Her husband, Eric, is currently in the US military, which has allowed them to have many adventures around the world! Inspired by her own experience as a military spouse, Sena wanted to tell a story that other military families could relate to and show the realities of how different family members handle deployments, especially when the mom is pregnant. She is the creative force behind the Instagram account @senaenelson where she enjoys sharing with fellow moms the joys and hardships of being a homeschool mom and military spouse. Today Should Be Enjoyed is her first children’s book.
