"Okay kids, it’s time for bed…I have an idea, let’s play a game! Do you know what I loved about you today?”
Inspired by the book The Blessing by John Trent and Gary Smalley, Lisa Fletcher started to play what she called "the game". At bedtime, she would tell her children what she loved about them that day. Instead of playing or bickering for hours with each other, they laid silently in their beds with huge grins across their faces, contemplating what she loved about them that day. As they grew, they never outgrew their love for "the game". Lisa hopes that this "game" makes as much of an impact on your family as it had on hers.

The pictures are cute but the book doesn’t flow. My kids love to read books and this one didn’t keep their attention .

Such a beautiful book
I can’t begin to tell you how much I recommend this book to all kinds of family dynamics. The thought and point behind this book is love, the love you have for one another as a family. This book emphasizes the importance of showing love to one another. Not just saying “I love you”, but really thinking about what you love about one another. Taking family relationships on a deeper and more meaningful level. The person who mentioned this book isn’t diverse, is mistaken. The author is writing it from her perspective. That’s what authors do. They write about their life experiences and adapt them into stories. This book can be for any kind of family. You just need to make it yours.

Absolutely adore this book
Bedtime at our house is always chaotic. This board has become my 3 year olds absolute favorite. The “game” is my favorite and I even get my older boys to play this with their 3 year old. I love it even more how the incidents in the book are real life incidents in Lisa’s life. Cannot wait to gift this to my other mom friends.

Inspiration for Bedtime
I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy of this beautiful and inspiring book. I was really struggling to get the kids calm for bed at the end of the usual whirlwind day. We've had our routines and things to help settle down and focus on our prayer time and quiet time together. But, now with The Game from Lisa's wonderful book, the kids have something they look forward to and have fun with each night when we settle for bed. This book and game have really helped us grow closer through the regular reminders of what we love about each other. While I love reminding my children of all the ways I love them, it means the world when your child is so excited to say these sweet, original and genuine statements of love and gratitude. Thank you Lisa!

What a Beautiful "Game"!
This book introduced me to the 'game'. You just tell someone what you love about them. Now I play it not only my kids but my friends. It is so simple but so impactful. Especially in this day and age, such a powerful message is needed and means more than ever! Highly recommend this book and bringing the 'game' to you family!
