ABCs for Boys

This book has regular paper pages, although a little thicker than regular books. If your child is ready to turn pages without grabbing or crumpling, then this is a great boy's book. My son is almost 2 and we just started this book two months ago. He LOVES the book and is really pointing to the items on each page and will go back to a page he likes to repeat like the helicopter and fire truck. Definitely a great boy's book with cars, motorcycles, planes, trucks, etc. It also has animals like a dog and owl. Very well-drawn yet simple pages. I highly recommend this book for learning the ABCs.

My toddler son loves this book! The illustrations are great and colors vivid. Almost all of the objects depicted are ones my son loves - a garbage truck, train, firetruck, wagon, insect, and zoo for example. This is our favorite alphabet book so far. It is simple enough to also be a real tool to help a toddler learn their letters. Regarding some of the comments on other sites expressing offense that an author would direct a book primarily toward boys. It is absolutely fine and, in this day and age, even refreshing, to have a book that implicitly affirms that being a little boy is something that is special and worth recognizing and celebrating. This would not have even been controversial a few short years ago.

This is an adorable book!! It is perfect for young boys. This is a precious way to help young boys learn their alphabet, and I am quite happy with the entire book! The pictures are large and very nice. The font is a good, large size. If you have or know of a young boy learning or on the verge of learning his alphabet, grab this book! You won’t regret it.

I have a three-year-old and he loves this book. I had been reading Dr. Seuss's ABC book to him for a while, and he'd enjoyed the crazy drawings and fun rhymes that fill every Dr. Seuss book. But he'd seemed to have gotten used to that one and while searching as his third B-Day neared I came across this one. He loves all kinds of tractors and trucks and planes and boats, etc., and this book is full of them. At bedtime, he'll say "I want to read the tractor book," in reference to this one. The artwork is great, very clear and colorful and he cannot get enough. In the couple of months since ordering this book, he's learned several new letters that he'll point out on traffic signs, billboards, and in other books. "Look Daddy, there's a W!" Many of the letters had become just a part of the story in the Dr. Seuss book, but this seemed to really spark his learning of the alphabet. The book itself is of good quality. Durable as is needed for a three-year-old. Good binding, and thick pages.

I absolutely love this book and so does my three year old son. We just recently gave it to him for his third birthday and he is obsessed with all of the different graphics! I will definitely be buying again for my nephews and I will try out the ABC for Girls for my nieces. I’m so impressed with all of the drawings too!
